Pazienza looks set for a rewarding preparation following her successful return to racing at Hastings this afternoon.
The daughter of Written Tycoon was away from the gates quickly to dispute much of the pace, was clear at the top of the straight and stayed on strongly under the urging of rider Ashvin Goindasamy.
Trained by Jamie Richards, Pazienza was a debut winner as a 2-year-old and subsequently raced in Australia where she collected a couple of minor placings from three appearances.
She was originally offered by breeder Coolmore at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale and purchased for AU$280,000.
She is a daughter of the North American-bred mare Gypsy Chimes, whose five foals to race have all been successful and includes the Group 3 performer Folk Dress.
