Well-related mare Under My Spell bounced back to her best when she produced a commanding performance to score on the synthetic track at Ballarat.

With jockey Michael Dee sporting the Cambridge Stud silks, the Nigel Blackiston-trained four-year-old made short work of her opposition to waltz home by 3.25l over 1500 metres.

Under My Spell had been below par in her previous appearance in the Listed Centaurea Stakes at Morphettville, but showed her true colours today and the ease of her victory strongly suggested she can continue to move through the grades.

The daughter of Pierro, who now has two wins and three placings from a handful of appearances, was an AU$330,000 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale purchase and is a half-sister to four winners.

Their dam Illusionary won on two occasions and the Hussonet mare is a half-sister to the Group 2 winners Chase The Rainbow and Ms Funovits.
