Playoffs kicks another goal for Tavistock26 Nov 2020

The progressive Playoffs furthered his record at Pakenham with a dominant display on Thursday evening under a hefty weight.

The Cambridge Stud graduate completed a stellar day for Tavistock, who sired five winners across Australasia.

Playoffs, who carried 61.5kg to victory, also drew further attention to his younger half-brother by Almanzor.

He will be offered as Lot 505 by Cambridge Stud during the Book 1 session at Karaka in January.

Purchased for $230,000 by agent Dean Hawthorne at NZB’s National Yearling Sale, Playoffs is out of the Zabeel mare Lazaan.

She is the dam of three winners, including the G3 Wellington Stakes placegetter Divine Power.

The second dam Lashed was a three-time Group 1 winner and also the family of the multiple top-flight winner Shogun Lodge.

Playoffs is trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace and has now won three of his nine appearances.
