While we were in Sydney to sell a selection of yearlings at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale we were also active on the other side of the fence and delighted to purchase five well-related fillies.

Top of the list was Lot 393, a daughter of Zoustar secured for A$800,000 out of Widden Stud’s draft.

Her dam is the G3 Angus Armanasco Stakes winner Summer Sham, who is by Not A Single Doubt and the decorated family of the champion sire Redoute’s Choice.

Lot 409 was offered by Lime Country Thoroughbreds and we went to A$650,000 for the Snitzel filly from the American-bred winner Tell Your Mama with the dual Group 1 winners and sires Russian Revolution and Home Affairs featuring on the pedigree page.

Two lots earlier we bought Arrowfield Stud’s Written Tycoon youngster for A$500,000 and she is out of Snitzel’s daughter Teaspoon, who won the G3 Widden Stakes and is a sister to the G3 Epona Stakes winner and Group 1 placegetter Aliyana Tide.

Continuing the Snitzel and Arrowfield theme, we also purchased a lovely filly out of the Japanese-bred stakes performer Bella Regina for A$425,000 when she was offered as Lot 42 by the Hunter Valley nursery.

Lot 350 also went our way when an All Too Hard filly from Widden Stud was knocked down to us for A$400,000. She is out of the G1 Flight Stakes runner-up Sezanne and the daughter of More Than Ready is from the family of Group 1 winners Bonneval, Champagne and St Reims.
