Fabulous filly Probabeel completed a red letter day for Cambridge Stud at Ellerslie this afternoon as she earned her slice of racing history.

She became the first horse to win the two and three-year-old editions of the Karaka Millions.

It topped off a fine day for Brendan and Jo Lindsay, who won the opening event with Dance Card and also race Karaka Million 2YO placegetter Taroni and G3 Mr Tiz Trophy placegetter Bavella.

“What a day. Thank you to David Ellis for buying the horse, thank you Jamie Richards for training her and thank you Opie Bosson for riding her,” Brendan Lindsay said.

Probabeel was a $380,000 Karaka purchase and is now likely to head to Australia in the near future.

“We’ll be taking her back and look at running her in the Surround Stakes,” Richards said.

Probabeel settled in the last trio before Bosson urged her around the field with 600 metres to run.

“I had to get out and get around them and was flushed wide on the turn,” Bosson said.

“Once she got balanced up it was all over. It was really cool and she’s a very good filly.”

Probabeel is a daughter of the Group performed Pins mare Far Fetched, a three-quarter to the Group winning sisters Legless Veuve and Tootsie.
