31 Dec 2020Regally-bred Zoustar filly Virgo deservedly posted the first winning strike of her fledgling career at Canterbury Park.
The Cambridge Stud graduate had finished runner-up three times before she broke through on Friday evening.
Virgo was purchased out of our draft at Karaka in 2019 by global giant Godolphin for $600,000.
She is out of the More Than Ready mare Imanana, who is a daughter of the G1 Railway Stakes winner Imananabaa.
Imanana produced a filly foal to Brazen Beau in 2020 and is currently in foal to Almanzor.
The mare has a deep pedigree that features the G1 Robert Sangster Stakes winner Rostova and the G2 Sweet Embrace Stakes winner Anaheed.
