Quality Almanzor 3YO remains undefeated5 Feb 2022

Unanimous Consent is emerging as one of Almanzor’s pre-eminent Northern Hemisphere three-year-olds following his successful reappearance at Tampa Bay Downs.

The colt is prepared by multiple North American Group 1-winning trainer Chad Brown, who had the winning polish on the youngster when he made a victorious debut at Monmouth over 1600 metres in September.

Unanimous Consent was then given a break and comfortably retained his unbeaten record when he recently returned to action over 1700 metres at Tampa.

He was initially sold for 85,000 Guineas (NZ$167,000) to the Jamie Railton Sales Agency at the Tattersalls December Foals’ Sale and then went to the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale where he was bought by Mike Ryan for 150,000 Guineas (NZ$296,500).

The colt is the first foal of the Fastnet Rock mare Fast Lily and she is a half-sister to the G2 York Lowther Stakes winner Silk Blossom and her sister Mashoora was a dual Group 3 winner and placed at Group 1 level.
