Rebel’s Choice had no trouble doubling her winning tally with a commanding performance at Sandown.

Our well-related daughter of Pierro was successful on debut at Yarra Valley last month for trainer Peter Moody before things didn’t go her way when sixth at Moonee Valley.

“We drew a bit sticky there and had to take our medicine and go back. They dictated things up front, but I was still really happy with her run,” rider Luke Nolen said.

He was aboard Rebel’s Choice again at Sandown where they jumped from the inside barrier to enjoy a perfect run in the trail and stayed closer to the rail into the straight before the filly flattened out to coast home by 1.75l.

“She was really strong through the line. She is quite a lean individual and I think she will really furnish with a bit more time,” Nolen said.

Rebel’s Choice was a $280,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase and is the first foal of the Redoute’s Choice mare Regatta Rebel who was a talented performer and placed in the G3 Kindergarten Stakes and in the G3 Ken Russell Memorial Classic.

The second dam is the former champion three-year-old and multiple Group 1 winner Alinghi and also the family of the G3 Blue Diamond Prelude winner and G1 Blue Diamond Stakes placegetter Beneteau.
