Red Hot Run For Keeper Continues

25 Mar 2011

The Lisa Latta-trained Platinum Princess became the latest black type winner for her sire Keeper when scoring a gritty win in today’s Listed Valachi Downs South Island Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes (1600m) at Riccarton Park.

A week ago Keeper sired the New Zealand Oaks-Gr.1 winner, Midnight Oil, and it’s been a story of regular success for the son of Danehill this season, being the sire of 35 individual winners in this country alone.

It was the fifth and most important win to date for Platinum Princess who comes from an excellent international family.

Bred by The Oaks Stud, Platinum Princess was purchased by her trainer for $115,000 at the 2008 Karaka Select Sale.
