Red Letter Day for Cambridge Stud

Red Letter Day for Cambridge Stud26 Oct 2018

Cambridge Stud’s Brendan and Jo Lindsay enjoyed a red-letter day with three individual winners at Ellerslie and a Gr.3 victory for a member of their broodmare band at Trentham today.

The day began with two-year-old homebred Bavella (Snitzel) franking her smart bloodlines with a bold win on debut.

The Lindsay Racing combination of Brendan and Jo, trainer Lance Noble and jockey Leith Innes took no time at all before striking at Ellerslie again, this time doing so with Save The Date (Savabeel) in the fourth and with Prince Jabeel (Savabeel) four races later.

The win by Prince Jabeel represented the second winner in as many days for the Lindsay’s proven black-type broodmare J’Adane, whose three-year-old Savabeel son Fratello winning in the Lindsay silks at Pukekohe yesterday.

Down the line at Trentham, it was the Jeff Lynds-trained mare Dark Princess (Cape Blanco) who gave cause for celebration courtesy of a win in the Gr.3 Thompson Hcp. Dark Princess is bred by Sir Patrick and Lady Hogan and is out of Game Duchess, who the Lindsays' now own.

Game Duchess is due to foal to Burgundy any day and will visit Almanzor in 2018.
