According to a report in today’s ANZ Bloodstock News, Jonathan Riddell will not be riding at Ellerslie on Derby Day next week, opting instead to continue his association with Capital Diamond who is scheduled to run in the Lowland Stakes-Gr.3 (2100m) at Hastings that day.
Riddell has ridden Capital Diamond in 5 of her 8 race day starts to date including placings in the NZ 1000 Guineas-Gr.1, Desert Gold Stakes-Gr.3 and Cambridge Stud Sir Tristram Fillies Classic-Gr.2.

Capital Diamond is currently in third position in the New Zealand Bloodstock 3YO Filly of the Year Series behind Planet Rock & Zurella.
