Tavistock colt Salsamor has hit a career peak with his second in the Gr.2 Bill Stutt Stakes to earn a start in Saturday's Gr.1 A$2 million Caulfield Guineas.
"The Stutt run was outstanding, he was jumping from 1200 to the mile and he hit the line as good as anything in the race," said Trent Busuttin, who co-trains with Natalie Young.
"To have a runner in a Group 1 is why we and the staff get out of bed in the morning, it's exciting and we feel he'll run well. He's a colt and a son of Tavistock if he can run top four it’s a great result for the owners but as trainers we want to win these races. There's no better advertisement for our business than having runners in these big races during the spring." - BusuttinRacing.com.au
