Scholarship for Cambridge Stud yearling manager

The New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders' Association have announced the 2017 recipients of their annual international scholarships.


At 21, Lance Forbes is one of the youngest recipients of the Sunline International Management Scholarship.


Currently the yearling manager at Cambridge Stud, Forbes has previously worked Ascot Farm and Arrowfield Stud in New South Wales.


He is the son of former trainer Graeme Forbes and Sheryl (nee Tims) and brother of former jockey Alex and Kiltannon stable's Mark.


The Sunline International Management Scholarship involves placements at Cheveley Park in England, Coolmore Stud in Ireland and Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky.


The other recipient is Waikato Stud's Cameron Ring, who heads to the Irish National Stud. - NZ Racing Desk
