Second Australian winner for Tavistock

14 Aug 2014

Cambridge Stud's young Montjeu stallion TAVISTOCK sired his second Australian winner today when Imperial Lass (ex Tricia Ann, by Zabeel) scored an impressive victory at Mornington.

The win comes just nine days after Tavistock unleashed his first Australian winner - Diamond Valores, who was impressive for Peter and Paul Snowden at Canterbury in Sydney.

Imperial Miss and Diamond Valores have a number of things in common...

* both are from the first crop of Tavistock

* both are from Zabeel mares

* both were bred and raised at Cambridge Stud

* both are graduates of the 2013 NZB Karaka Premier Sale

Peter Moody, who prepares today's winner Imperial Lass, went to $125,000 to secure her from Cambridge Stud at last year's Karaka Premier Sale.

Tavistock is now the sire of five individual winners - two in Australia and another three in New Zealand including Avisto, a Listed Race winner at Ellerslie at two last season.
