She’s Alight added to an already impressive winning strike rate with an upset success in today’s Listed Jungle Dawn Classic at Ascot.

The Cambridge Stud graduate was facing a rise in class, but she handled it with aplomb for the most important win of her career.

Trained by Alan Mathews, the Tavistock 5-year-old was ridden by her regular partner Patrick Carberry.

She’s Alight has now been victorious in seven of her 19 starts and further black type honours beckon.

She was bred by Sir Patrick and Lady Hogan and purchased out of Cambridge Stud’s draft at Karaka in 2017 by respected bloodstock agent John Chalmers for $65,000.

She’s Alight is a daughter of the winning Keeper mare Keep Alight, a three-quarter sister to the G1 NZ 2000 Guineas winner Danske.

She is also a half-sister to the dual black type winner Eagle Rhythm and to the dam of the G1 NZ Oaks winner Midnight Oil.

The second dam on the pedigree page is the dual Group 1 winner Our Tristalight.
