Silver Lake has continued the excellent start she has made in Australia under the guidance of Mornington trainer David Brideoake.

The Redoute’s Choice mare began her career in New Zealand and broke her maiden at Trentham for Jamie Richards in her farewell performance and is thriving in Victoria.

Silver Lake finished runner-up at Wangaratta last month and at Sale overcame the outside gate in the hands of Damien Thornton to win over 1400 metres.

She is a daughter of the Irish-bred Galileo mare Silver Blossom and she is a half-sister to the G2 York Lowther Stakes winner Silk Blossom.

She is by Barathea and her sister Mashoora was a dual Group 3 winner and France and placed at Group 1 level.
It is a well-performed international family that has also made its presence felt in this part of the world through the G1 Diamond Stakes winner Sword Of Osman and the G1 Queensland Oaks winner Zagalia.

Silver Lake’s half-sister by Almanzor sold to David Ellis at Karaka this year for $300,000.
