12 Jan 2022We were delighted to see highly respected judge John Foote secure our daughter of Almanzor during the second session of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Presented as Lot 368 on our behalf by Bhima Thoroughbreds, she was sold to the successful Queensland bloodstock agent in partnership with Roll The Dice Racing for A$220,000.
The filly is from a well-performed international family that Foote knows well having secured her dam Phenetic on our behalf for 38,000gns at the 2014 Tattersalls December Mare Sale in England. Phenetic is a winning daughter of Zamindar whose only foal to race is the two-time winning I Am Invincible mare La Tardigrada.
Phenetic’s colt by Maurice made $180,000 at Karaka in 2020 and the mare foaled a filly by Too Darn Hot this breeding season and subsequently got in foal to Hello Youmzain.
The pedigree features the seven-time Group 1 winner Sightseek, the two-time elite level winner Tates Creek, G1 French 1000 Guineas heroine Special Duty and closer to home, the G1 Turnbull Stakes winner Kings Will Dream.
