Snapper has again showed his affinity for the turning Moonee Valley track with another runaway victory over 1200 metres.

The Sir Patrick and Lady Hogan bred son of Power has now posted four wins and a second from five starts on the course for trainer Michael Moroney.

In his latest successful visit, Snapper quickly found the front for rider Logan McNeil and, after turning up the heat 300 metres from home, he strolled in by 4.75l.

“He definitely likes the track and it’s great to see him in his best form,” stable representative Ben Thompson said.

“Mike was confident and has always had a good opinion of the horse.”

The four-year-old began his career in New Zealand and was placed in the G3 Matamata Slipper as a juvenile before joining Moroney’s Flemington yard and has now won four times.

Snapper is out of the One Cool Cat mare Onlyarose, who was successful on four occasions and earned black-type, and has also produced the stakes performer Fireglow.

Snapper was pruchased by Paul Moroney Bloodstock and Ballymore Stables from our 2019 Book 1 Yearling draft at Karaka for $60,000.
