15 Dec 2023Opie Bosson celebrated a special association with our resident stallion Embellish’s daughter Glitzy Glory when he guided her to victory over 1200 metres.
Bosson bred the filly with wife Emily and was also aboard her sire when he won the 2017 G1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas.
The Mark Walker and Sam Bergerson-trained Glitzy Glory was put aside after finishing fourth on debut last season and had trialled well ahead of her return.
She sat handy to the pace before shouldering clear at the top of the straight and she finished determinedly to open her account.
Glitzy Glory is out of the St Petersburg mare Colheita, who is from the family of the former New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year and G1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas winner Platinum Witness.
