Almanzor was represented by another impressive winner in France overnight when his daughter Saving Grace strolled to victory.
The two-year-old had finished a home track runner-up on debut for Chantilly trainer Fabrice Chappet in July and she had no trouble going one better over 1400 metres at Vichy.
Saving Grace settled in the last duo under rider Aurelien Lemaitre and was cruising 400 metres from home before she was asked for a serious effort. The filly responded to hands and heels riding to lengthen stride for an effortless victory.
She is the first winner for the Sholokov mare Desiree Clary, a two-year-old winner and stakes performer who also finished fourth in the G1 French Oaks.
Saving Grace is the fifth Northern Hemisphere winner for Almanzor while his sole Southern Hemisphere runner to date has been Gibraltar Rising.
The Team Rogerson-trained colt lined up in the opening juvenile race of the season at Wanganui earlier this month and did particularly well to finish third after running wide into the straight.
