Smart three-year-old Tavidream is in the running for an early trip to Australia.
Trainers Donna Logan and Chris Gibbs will make a decision on the venture after the impressive son of Tavistock's next domestic appearance.
"We are taking it race by race with him as he's still a bit immature and growing," Logan said.
"We'll give him a run at Ellerslie on Saturday over a mile and see how he goes, we haven't ruled out Sydney for him."
The race they have in mind for the gelding is the Gr.3 Frank Packer Plate (2000m) at Randwick on April 15.
Tavidream has won three of his five starts, including dominant victories at Ellerslie in his last two appearances. - NZ Racing Desk
