Ring Of Honour has continued the impressive start to his career with further success at Pakenham.
The son of Tavistock landed the second win of his three-start career against the older horses yesterday over 1400 metres.
Trained at Lindsay Park by the Hayes/Dabernig team, the three-year-old was bred by the China Horse Club. He is a son of the Gr.2 Auckland Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes winner Kelly O’Reilly, now a member of the Cambridge Stud broodmare band. The O’Reilly mare was purchased by the farm for A$200,000 at last year’s Inglis Chairman’s Sale.
Kelly O’Reilly has a Russian Revolution filly at foot and was served by Almanzor last season.
Ring Of Honour’s late sire Tavistock will be represented by 23 quality youngsters in Cambridge Stud’s Book 1 draft at Karaka.
