Tavistock at the Double

Tavistock has had another successful Saturday with a winning double at Tauranga today.

London Banker struck first and his winning lead was followed two races later by Kinshasa.

Prepared by Roger James and Robert Wellwood, London Banker finished stoutly to claim the Bay Of Plenty Cup.

That victory is likely to earn the progressive stayer a crack at the Listed Hawke's Bay Cup.

A $100,000 Karaka yearling, London Banker is out of a half-sister to the multiple Group One winner El Segundo, bred by Phillip and Catherine Brown of Ancroft Stud.

The Cody Cole-trained Kinshasa continued her good progress when she accounted for her Rating 72 opposition.

She has been patiently handled and the rewards are now flowing with three wins on the board.

Kinshasa is out of the Zabeel mare Zaire, a daughter of the Gr.3 Eclipse Stakes winner Desert Ace and is bred and raced (with friends) by Justine and David Sclater of Kirkwall Thoroughbreds.
