Tavistock chasing down second Premiership for season

8 Jul 2015

Cambridge Stud's boom young stallion Tavistock already has the New Zealand Second Season Sire Premiership in the bag and is currently in the race to secure a second important Premiership, that being the Three Year Old list.

Currently Tavistock is in second position behind Iffraaj on this table and is just $12,000 in arrears, meaning that winning the the 3YO Premiership is very much feasible, a huge achievement for a stallion who only has one crop of age to figure on this list.

Here's a snapshot of the 3YO Premiership for 2014-2015 according to figures provided today by Arion Pedigrees...

Iffraaj

* 50 runners

* 24 winners

* 35 wins

* 3 Stakes Winners (5 Stakes Wins)

Tavistock

* 44 runners

* 17 winners

* 32 wins

* 4 Stakes Winners (7 Stakes Wins)

Key contributors towards Tavistock's result this season in New Zealand include...

* Volkstok'n'barrell (Gr.2, Gr.3 & LR) - in NZ (Gr.1 winner in Australia)

* Werther (Gr.2) - in NZ (twice Gr.1-placed in Australia)

* Avisto (Dual Listed Winner)

* Tavy (Listed Winner)

Tavistock had another brand new winner yesterday with Deluxe Edition (ex Arlanda) winning a 1400m Maiden at Matamata for Ian and Natalie George.
