Tavistock colt wins Gr.2 Stutt Stakes26 Sep 2019

Tavistock's exciting son The Holy One defied all for success in the Gr.2 Bill Stutt Stakes at Moonee Valley tonight.

Trained by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, The Holy One was the one they had to catch turning for home, but after a well-judged ride from Brett Prebble, the best the nearest rival would do was get as close as half a length to him.

The Gr.2 win was the third win of the talented colt's career so far, with likely aims ahead including the Gr.1 Australian Guineas.

The exciting winner was bred by Richard Davey Investments Ltd and is out of the Pentire mare Entirely Saintly.

As a yearling, he was sold to Fallstaff Bloodstock from Bradbury Park’s 2018 Karaka Book Two draft for $65,000. He returned to the auditorium later that year as a member of Kilmore Farm’s Ready to Run draft, selling on this occasion to Tim Scales & Busuttin Racing for $160,000.

The Holy One is now raced by Busuttin Racing, Mr S A Lewin, Ms N J Cruickshank, The Disciples, Mr A Kassem, Mrs Z Kassem, Mrs S H Juratowitch, Mr D P Juratowitch, Ms B J Patterson, Mr T M Scales, Lot One Thirty One, Rise From The Ashes, F J S, Simanna Racing, M F Freight, Mr J Dazkiw, Mr D Kavanagh, Mr N Serrano, Mr C Ciantar and Miss C Henry.
