Progressive filly Le Gai Soleil is answering every question put to her by trainer John O’Shea in positive fashion.

The daughter of Tavistock showed that again on the Kensington track at Randwick on Wednesday with another impressive display.

In the hands of champion jockey James McDonald, she thumped her older rivals with a hollow three length win over 1550 metres.

Le Gai Soleil remains unbeaten in three appearances this preparation with her sole defeat when third on debut in the summer.

When asked about the prospect of tackling stakes races in the future on Sky Thoroughbred Central O'Shea said, "I'm sure she will next season."

"We'll just let her go through her grades for the rest of the preparation and then we'll give her a break and then she can come back in the autumn."

The three-year-old was bred by Blandford Lodge and has the pedigree to be special as she is a half-sister to two-time Group One winner Danzdanzdance.

It is also the family of Lucia Valentina, a three-time winner at the elite level, and the Group Two winner Silky Red Boxer.
