Diamond Valores, part of the first crop - now 4YOs - of Tavistock, showed he is ready for an excellent spring campaign with an impressive victory at Sandown when resuming yesterday.
These days trained by Darren Weir at Ballarat, Diamond Valores looked smart at three when winning his first two starts then going on to be placed first time out in black type company in the Group Three Gloaming Stakes (1800m).
Diamond Valores (Tavistock ex Special Diamond, by Zabeel is one of nine Stakes Performers by his sire from the first crop, with the list including Group One performers Volkstok'n'barrell, Werther and Imperial Lass.
The multiple Listed Race winner Avisto and the Tavy (Listed winner) are others of note in that list.
Tavistock's book for 2015 has been closed for months.
