The 4YO Tavistock gelding Rukuhia landed back-to-back wins at Pukekohe this afternoon.
Trained by Glenn Old, Rukuhia raced a month ago for success under Trudy Thornton and the partnership repeated the dose to the tune of 2.5 lengths today.
He has now won two of fives starts for the Rukuhia Syndicate, with credit also gained with a third placing on one of these occasions.
Bred by Vic Booth, Rukuhia is out of the winning Danehill mare Dane Edna.
To date, the Tavistock/ Danehill cross has been responsible for 12 winners from 18 runners (66.7 % WTR), with the leading advocate of this being the multiple black-type winner Longchamp.
