Titanium (Tavistock ex Zanetta, by Centaine) became his sire's very first winner in South East Asia yesterday when taking out an Initiation event over 1400m in Singapore.

From the first crop of now three-year-olds by Tavistock, Titanium is one of only two horses by the sire to have raced in Singapore to date.

Trained by Michael Freedman, Titanium was stepping out for only the second time yesterday, having run third on debut three weeks ago.

Bred by Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan, Titanium sold at last year's Ready To Run Sale when offered by Mana Park for a price tag of $47,500.

The Singapore result completed another successful weekend for Tavistock with the sire also represented by a winner at Hawera.  Nymph Monte (Tavistock ex Grove Nymph, by Grosvenor) was impressive in winning a Maiden 1600m by three lengths.

Tavistock remains New Zealand's Leading 3YO Sire and Leading Second Season Sire.
