She’s Alight has continued her impressive march through the grades with further success in Western Australia.
The Cambridge Stud graduate is now unbeaten in two runs this preparation following a dominant victory at Ascot this week.
The four-year-old has now won three times from a handful of starts up to 1300 metres for trainer Alan Mathews.
A $65,000 Karaka yearling purchase by John Chalmers from the Cambridge Stud draft, She’s Alight is a daughter of the late Tavistock and the Keeper mare Keep Alight.
All five of her foals to race have been successful, including the stakes performer Midnitemagicman.
Keep Alight is a half-sister to the Gr.1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas winner and sire Danske. It is also the family of the Gr.1 New Zealand Oaks winner Midnight Oil.
