Tavistock No.1 amongst newcomer stallions

Cambridge Stud’s dual Group One-winning stallion Tavistock (Montjeu) made his presence felt at this week’s New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Premier Sale, ending the two day session as the sale’s Leading First Season Sire.

 

Tavistock had 10 to sell for an aggregate of $1,360,000, representing an average of $136,000 and a great return on his first year service fee of $12,500.

 

Tavistock’s top seller was Lot 278, the filly from On Arrival which was purchased by Lisa Latta for $270,000.

 

Other buyers of Tavistock yearlings at the Premier Sale included Bruce Wallace, Graeme Rogerson, Roger James, Paul Moroney, Dean Hawthorne, John O’Shea, Keith Hawtin and Peter Moody.
