Tavistock youngster remains in Derby contention

Ballarat trainer Matt Cumani achieved a first in his fledgling career on Sunday, training a raceday double on the Seymour Cup card.

The win of the Carol Marshall-bred Tavistock three-year-old Greycliffe followed the earlier success of the OTI-syndicated Tristano.

“Greycliffe is coming along really nicely. I was a bit disappointed not to win with him last time, I was hoping to keep his record intact, but nice to come here and do it convincingly,” Cumani said.
