Tavistock’s son goes boom12 Oct 2019

The ease of Boomstock’s latest win strongly suggested he can make his way through the grades in good time.

Tavistock’s son put away his Benchmark 64 rivals with ease at Cranbourne this afternoon for the second success of his brief career.

Trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent junior, Boomstock has yet to miss a cheque in his eight-start career.

The lightly-tried four-year-old was bred by Cambridge Stud and was a $220,000 Karaka sale to Champion Thoroughbreds.

Earlier this year, Mick Price Racing went to $280,000 to secure the farm’s Boomstock’s younger full-brother.

They are out of the Zabeel mare Obey, a three-quarter sister to the stakes winner Berlioz.

She is also a half-sister to the Gr.2 Concorde Handicap winner Taimana.

It is the famed Eight Carat family and the pedigree page also features the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting To Win.
