Kissinger has continued the impressive start he has made to his career for trainer Nigel Tiley.

The four-year-old was successful at Te Aroha to take his record to two wins from three appearances.

The son of Tavistock relished the step up to 2200 metres yesterday to score untested in the hands of rider Leith Innes.

Bred by Peter Setchell, Kissinger is a son of the winning Black Minnaloushe mare Berlin Belle.

She is a half-sister to the Gr.3 Gold Trail Stakes winner Zino Belle and the stakes winner Silver Belle.

Their dam Christiania Belle was also a smart mare who claimed the Gr.2 Dulcie.

It is also the family of the Gr.2 Queensland Guineas winner Winning Belle, who produced the Gr.1 Coolmore Classic winner Plucky Belle.
