Queensland obviously agrees with the well-related London Banker, who continues to impress from Kelly Schweida’s Eagle Farm stable.

The son of Tavistock has appeared five times from his new quarters for prominent owners Ron and Judi Wanless and placed in his first three starts before posting consecutive middle-distance victories at Eagle Farm and Doomben.

London Banker was originally purchased out of Kilgravin Lodge’s draft at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale by Roger James, who with Robert Wellwood prepared him to win four races before relocating to Australia.

The gelding was bred by Mrs C J, K P & P H Brown, R M Fitzroy & I G Hickey is a son of the Encosta De Lago mare Palos De Lago, who has a 100 per cent record at stud with her three foals to race all successful.

She is a half-sister to the multiple Group 1 winner El Segundo with their dam the dual Group 3 winner Palos Verdes.
