The Cambridge Stud News Brief - 03 August 2015

POWER, the dual Group One-winning son of Oasis Dream, has arrived at Cambridge Stud in readiness for his third season of shuttle duties.

Cambridge Stud's four-strong stallion roster (Burgundy, Keeper, Power & Tavistock) are available for inspection; contact the office to make an appointment.

Hot off the back of another great season which saw him named Leading NZ Sire for individual Winners, KEEPER has sired a black type winner in Australia on the first day of new season racing.

Keepit To Yourself (Keeper ex Irish Nassie, by Nassipour) won the A$100,000 Winter Challenge-LR (1500m) at Rosehill Gardens in the hands of Tommy Berry.

Not to be outdone, last season's Champion NZ Second Season Sire TAVISTOCK was quickly on the scoreboard on the first day of the new season with a winner at Ruakaka.

Valante (Tavistock ex Steal by Red Ransom) has now won 3 of his 11 starts and is Rated 70.  He is trained by Peter & Jacob McKay at Matamata.
