Firebolt (Stravinsky ex Woodsong, by Woodman) claimed his third black type victory when successful in yesterday’s Tattersall’s Open Mile-LR (1600m) at Eagle Farm in Brisbane.
At the Queensland Winter Carnival a year ago Firebolt won the BRC Lord Mayor’s Cup-Gr.3 (1615m) while two years ago he won the STC Shannon Stakes-Gr.2 (1500m).
Bred and raced by the Sky Syndicate, Firebolt was trained for his first two Group Race victories by Roger James, but these days is prepared by Chris Waller.
Firebolt has now won 9 of his 40 starts and been placed on 12 occasions for prize money of A$496,761.
