Two-in-a-day takes Keeper to 56 for season

5 Jun 2013

Keeper sired two maiden winners at yesterday’s Matamata fixture and is now clearly second on the New Zealand Stallion Premiership for Winners.

According to figures supplied by Arion Pedigrees, Keeper has had 56 individual winners in New Zealand alone this season.  Leading the way is O’Reilly (67), while Pins (49) and Darci Brahma (48) sit below Keeper.

Yesterday’s winners were Sugar Plum Fairy (Keeper ex Howgoodwasthat, by Howbaddouwantit) and Keep In Tune (Keeper ex Melody Wave, by Bluebird).

The pair of midweek winners comes off the back of Keeper’s latest black type victory last weekend with Innovation (Keeper ex Miss Grosvenor, by Grosvenor) taking out the Listed Wanganui Challenge Stakes.

Keeper’s yearlings sold up to $205,000 at Karaka this year with a Premier Sale average of $108,500.

His service fee for 2013 has been set at a very competitive $12,500 + gst (LFG).
