Upside aplenty in Lot 136 pedigree

Cambridge Stud will offer the half-sister to the Group One-placed Chambord at next week's Karaka Premier Sale.

Chambord (Zabeel) was placed second in the NZ 2000 Guineas-Gr.1 in November and looked unlucky when needing galloping room at a crucial time in last Saturday's Group One Levin Classic at Trentham Gardens.

The Cambridge offering is from the first Southern Hemisphere crop of the Galileo horse Rip Van Winkle, Europe's Champion 3YO Miler of 2009 and European Champion Older Miler of 2010.

The dam, Miss Montjeu (by Montjeu) won at 1150m and is a half-sister to The Duke (Danehill), the winner of 10 races including the Hong Kong Mile-Gr.1.

Another Group One winner appearing in this family is Sayf El Arab (Done), the winner of the Royal Ascot King's Stand Stakes.
