Victoria Derby winner every bit a Cambridge Stud product

Tarzino's runnaway victory in today's A$1.5m AAMI Victory Derby-Gr.1 (2500m) brought special satisfaction to Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan.

Not only was the Classic winner born, raised and sold by Cambridge Stud, but he is also a son of the resident stallion Tavistock.

The Hogans bred Tarzino from their Zabeel mare Zarzino and sold him for $45,000 at last year's New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Select Sale.

Tarzino becomes the second Group One winner for Tavistock, the other being Volkstok'n'barrell who won the Rosehill Guineas during the Sydney Autumn Carnival this year.

Tavistock was New Zealand's Champion Second Season Sire in the term recently concluded.  His oldest progeny are just four-year-olds and Tarzino is from his second crop.
