Villaden back in peak form

Villaden back in peak form10 Jun 2023

Well-travelled grauate Villaden has regained his winning touch in the warmer climes of Queensland.

Our home-bred and sold son of Tavistock was a dashing last start winner over 1625 metres at Toowoomba where he waltzed home by 7.3l under rider Casey Waddell.

Villaden has now won in three states of Australia for master trainer Chris Waller, having broken his maiden at Benalla and was also successful at Warwick Farm prior to Christmas.

The four-year-old was purchased by agent Guy Mulcaster and Kaha Bloodstock out of our class of 2020 at Karaka for $220,000.

Villaden is a brother to the dual Group 1 winner Young Werther and a half-brother to the black-type performer Romantic Lady.

Their dam is the Fastnet Rock mare Romantic Time, a half-sister to the G2 Silver Slipper Stakes winner Amelia’s Dream, who has an unraced American Pharoah filly named About Time, last season had a Savabeel colt and is in foal to Almanzor.
