Highly Recommended’s son Waldorf has quickly returned to serious form for trainer Tony Cruz following a brief break.

He finished runner-up off the back of a freshen-up and on Wednesday evening went one better at Happy Valley.

It was the five-year-old’s fifth win since relocating to Hong Kong after beginning his career with Andrew Campbell.

His sale was prompted by stakes wins in the Ryder Stakes and in the Wanganui Guineas.

Waldorf was a $30,000 Karaka yearling purchase and his current stake earnings are now more than $1.3 million.
He is a son of the Pins mare Skite, also the dam of the G3 Winter Cup winner Timmy Tyler.

It is the family of the Group One winners Domino, Hero, Westminster, Veloso and Take A Walk.
