Well-related Lassaut strikes again

Well-related Lassaut strikes again22 Apr 2022

Lassaut has an impressive pedigree to live up to and the French colt has made a fine start to doing his family proud.

The Almanzor three-year-old finished third on debut at Deauville before breaking his maiden at Chantilly and produced another stylish performance to score comfortably over 1600 metres at Longchamp.

The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Lassaut settled well back in the field before he improved widest at the top of the straight and ran home generously under hands and heels riding from Cristian Demuro to add to his tally.

Co-bred and part-owned by our good friends at Haras d’Etreham, he is a son of the unraced Sinndar mare Lady Family and she is a half-sister to the G2 Prix Robert Papin winner and G1 Prix Morny runner-up Family One.

Sires Lethal Force, successful in the G1 Royal Ascot Diamond Jubilee Stakes and G1 July Cup, and the G1 Haydock Sprint Cup winner G Force also feature among a plethora of stakes winners on the pedigree page.
