Young gun Cambridge Stud sire Tavistock enjoyed a big day at Doomben last Saturday with Werther successful in the Group Two Eagle Farm Cup and Imperial Lass third in the Group One Queensland Oaks.

Not only are both horses first crop three-year-olds by Tavistock, but they are both from Zabeel mares.  Werther is from Bagalollies and Imperial Lass from Tricia Ann.

Imperial Lass joins Volkstok'n'barrell as a Group One performer by Tavistock.  The filly is prepared by Peter Moody and was handled on Saturday by Blake Shinn.

Closer to home on Saturday Tavistock was represented by two place getters at Ellerslie, namely Amber Rayne (ex Light Mozart) who was third in a 3YO 1200m while Tavis Star (ex Megapins) was second in a 3YO 1600m.

Tavistock has 9 stakes performers from 52 first crop runners, representing an impressive 17.30% ratio.

Tavistock stands at Cambridge Stud alongside Burgundy (year three), Keeper (proven) and Power (year three).
