Salsamor confirmed his status as a rising staying star in Victoria with further success at Caulfield.

The son of Tavistock has been in dazzling form this preparation with four wins on the bounce.

Trained by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, the five-year-old shouldered 59.5kg to another dominant success over 2000 metres.

A $150,000 Karaka yearling purchase from the Hallmark Stud draft, Salsamor was bred by Mark Oulaghan and is a son of the winning Al Akbar mare Hula Bar.

Tavistock was also to the fore on day one of The Championships at Randwick in Sydney.

His daughter Toffee Tongue produced a career-best performance to run second in the Gr.3 Adrian Knox Stakes. Her strong finish has brought her into consideration for the Gr.1 Australian Oaks in a week's time.

Toffee Tongue was purchased by Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock for $500,000 from the Highden Park Karaka yearling draft. She has a pedigree to be proud of as a sister to the three-time Group One winner Werther.
