Zabeel Damsire of 11 Group One Winners

Yearling buyers looking to purchase fillies with residual value at next week's Karaka Yearling Sales Series should seriously consider the credentials of Zabeel as a broodmare sire.

The Champion Cambridge Stud stallion is currently second on the Australian Broodmare Sire Premiership, behind only Danehill, who has been represented by 152 more runners than Zabeel.

Australia this season to date for Zabeel is 83 and collectively this group of horses has won 103 races.

To date Zabeel has an impressive record of 564 individual winners as a broodmare sire and the list includes 53 individual black type winners - 36 of which have been successful at Group level.

Zabeel is the sire-of-the-dam of 11 Group One winners, with the list including Faint Perfume (2009 VRC Oaks), Samantha Miss (multiple Group One winner), Purple (dual Group One winner), Darci Brahma (5 Group One wins), Headturner (Australian Derby) and Sarrera (dual Group One winner).

Other big names from Zabeel mares include Kroner, Trusting, Pure Harmony, Fast 'n' Famous and Miss Scarlatti.
