Zabeel continues to write new records as a broodmare sire and is now rightfully regarded as one of the most influential sires of New Zealand broodmares in the history of the sport.
His mares have produced 1840 individual winners to date. That tally comes from a representation of 2705 runners around the globe.
Winners from Zabeel mares number 1204 in Australia alone, while his mares have also left winners in New Zealand (427), South Africa (66), Hong Kong (49), Singapore (70), Malaysia (40), Great Britain (2), Ireland (2), France (5), USA (2), Macau (22), China (5), Japan (13), Korea (16), China (5) and Mauritius (5).
In nearly every case, the ratio of winners to runners is impressive.
Zabeel is the sire of the dams of 34 individual Group One winners including Dundeel, Darci Brahma, Ocean Park, Silent Achiever, Atlantic Jewel, Werther, Samantha Miss, Bonneval, Faint Perfume, Purple, Humidor, Xtravagant, Sarrera, and Tarzino to name just a few.
Zabeel is the sire of the dams of 181 individual black-type winners; collectively this group has won 382 stakes races.
