3 Jul 2011

One of Zabeel’s most unique progeny broke her maiden status with a win at Wyong last week.

The Opera House, born pure white, out of Carmina Burana (Star Way) foaled at Cambridge Stud in 2006. The striking  looking  filly, a three quarter sister to champion galloper Might and Power, secured her win at Wyong by two lengths over 2100m in the Video Ezy Maiden Plate, ridden by Melbourne Cup winning jockey Corey Brown.

Bred by Rod Martin the filly was sold through the 2008 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sales for

$270,000.

The Opera House won her first two trials and from her nine races has now placed in the top three six times.
