Zendora strikes again

Zendora strikes again11 May 2022

Well-bred mare Zendora has continued her fine run of southern form with further success at Riverton.

It was especially pleasing to see our home-bred salute again as she is raced on lease by an ownership group that includes good friends Alan and Kerry Harper.

Trained by Jo-Anne Dalton, Zendora was coming off a maiden success at Wingatui over 1600 metres and had no trouble producing a repeat performance over the same trip against stronger opposition.

She settled fourth on the rail and was off the fence before the turn to produce an irresistible finish in the hands of Samantha Wynne.

By Medaglia D’Oro, Zendora is out of the G1 Queensland Oaks runner-up Zenella, who is from the legendary Eight Carat family.

Zenella is also the dam of the Listed Oaks Prelude winner Miss Ella and paid a return visit to Almanzor last year after foaling a daughter by the Wootton Bassett stallion.
