We are looking for a full-time/live-in Assistant Stud Supervisor to join Cambridge Stud at our Karaka Farm.
Start date: June 1st (Flexible)
Must have New Zealand residency or a current work visa.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Handling foals, yearlings and racehorses
Feeding, rugging, mucking out and general horse husbandry
Monitoring horse health and assisting with vet treatments
Maintaining accurate records
Supervising staff when required
Be available for after-hours trucks arriving
Hours are Mon to Fri 7am to 4pm, and every second weekend.
At least 3 years’ experience working on a stud or in a similar equine role
Confident handling a range of horses, including foals, yearlings and racehorses.
Confident in administering medication and bandaging.
Knowledge of broodmare breeding cycles and care.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Be able to live on site.
Must have New Zealand residency or a current work visa.
You will be part of a highly experienced team and working with some of the best bloodstock in New Zealand.
